Go Tigers!

If they don't beat the Yankees, forget it. The A's and the Twins always roll over for the Yankees.

A's-Tigers. Cardinals-Mets. Those were my calls before the series started in case you are wondering. Gave up on the Twins when Liriano went down.

The Mets can beat any of the National League teams even with a depleted pitching staff. They have a decent bullpen, think of the Angels run in the playoffs a few years back.

I agree. Though I think the A's, given their performance so far, do have a bettter-than-normal chance against the Yankees. Everybody had the next series as Twins/ Yankees, and a lot of "experts" thought the Twins had the best chance to beat the Yankees; BUT, the way the A's took those two games away from the Twins on the Twins home turf leads me to some confidence in the A's chances against the Yankees.

Also agree that the Mets can still get to the series even with their starting line-up. Especially since the Dodgers have the best starting pitching, and if they knock them out then it's no problem against the Cards.

Hoping for a Mets/ A's World Series.

not 'line-up,' but 'rotation'.

A's-Mets would be great. No Yanks-Mets or Yanks-Cards. If the Mets beat the Yanks that'd be ok, but I'd fear another Subway snooze if they match up.

Sixteen of seventeen "experts" picked the Padres to beat the Cardinals on espn.com.

I knew they were doomed the moment I saw that.
